Im installing a 6.4 with the TR6060 into a 70 B body. Ok....nothing new here....but like all other transplants of this type I have to install the mid sump oil pan, Nothing new there either.....BUT....what have other people done about the dust cover needed in front of the Trans (TR6060) that is missing when you take the factory oil pan off the engine. AND ….has anyone considered the structural support needed to be installed between the TR6060 and the block...…...That was removed when the factory oil pan was removed? see pics...

I have an 04 truck 5.7 and that has bolt-on braces because the sump is stamped steel. I’m pretty sure Rock Auto has them in stock.
Not sure about the dust cover. I’m using a T56 and the plate that comes with the QuickTime bell housing looks like it covers everything.

Ok...Rock Auto maybe.....any idea what it would be listed as....I looked but did not see anything.....

I made a sheet metal dust cover with two louvers in it for heat for the original bell. I bought a scatter shield later and it is completely enclosed so no shield necessary.

The part number I have is 53021491AA and Rock Auto has it listed for $57.79
They call it a structural dust cover so looks like it does both jobs - brace and dust cover.

Can anyone confirm this fits the TR6060 or is it for the Auto transmissions?
I have a T56 Magnum going behind my engine which uses a QuickTime bellhousing. It looks like the brace will bolt up to it if I use a spacer between the brace and the block. I will post a photo when I get a chance.

i think I will take the plunge and order it! I have a T60 so I can let ya know!
It does not fit a tr6060. I have one and test fitted it. Bottom holes do not line up. I can get a picture later.

Dang it, super big thanks tho for the info
No worries. I will post a picture later. I was bummed. I am using a stef’s pan. I well be spending even more money now to get the mmx lower bell housing mount kit. Ugh.

Here is picture. You can clearly see the holes do not line up. Actually none of the holes line up.

OUCH ! Cha Ching !

So...since the MMX are in two pieces.....IF you have the other mount from MOPAR that doesn't line up....what if you cut the wings off the Mopar mount? will any holes line up??
No they don’t even come close.
