I fished in Westport and Ocean Shores Washington for a few years. My dad had a Cafe in Wesport and my grand dad had a commercial fishing boat there back in the 70's.
Never capsized a boat and lots of people have no idea how ruff ocean water can get. I bet you have some good stories to tell.
I was raised in Aberdeen in my early youth, Westport was a frequent destination for us. I dig Razor clams a couple times a year at ocean shores now, new cobalt/nickel knees permitting:-)
We ocean fished out of La-Push WA and bunked in Forks. 385 miles from home. I had 5,000 hours on the water, 2,500 of them skippering the boat in the years we fished together.
The boat accident claimed my boat owning friends life and I haven't been on the ocean since.
