Hey All,

I finely joined the FABO party after 2 years of lurking on this site. When i was a teen, many moons ago I picked up my first Duster, it's an A5 blue 70 that was sitting under some redwood trees by Alice's Cafe on Skyline Blvd that we thought was a 340 car. My pops and I got it started and I only drove it a few miles and i was hooked. The clutch was strong as an ox and it hooked when I hit the gas... Then it was not running so hot and by hot, I mean 5 & 7 were running so hot the headers were glowing red. We pulled the motor and could then see the block to find out it was a 360, but was still thrilled non the less. We striped her down, pulled the heads and saw that water had gotten into the motor and rusted out 5 & 7. As time went on, and collage started, I was a broke and the car went to the back burner. As i got older and got my stuff together, I been wanting to pull is out of the barn from my brothers place and restore the car. Then by chance about 2 years ago while surfing craigslist i found a 98% done 71 Duster 340 4 speed car and jumped on it. I was like flies on s**t, called the guys right away and was looking at the car the next morning. The car was sweet, looked it all over, went for a drive, and it reignited the fire in the pants I felt when I was younger taking my 70 for a spin around the block. That car had to be mine and I took it home. So over the last 2 years I've put about 500 miles on it, with the biggest grin on my face each time i start her and go for a cruze. Once I got the car, I knew the best thing I could do is go through the car and make her even better, so that's where FABO has been one of my go to pages for tech info. I've been collecting parts and pieces, while spending way too many hours in the garage working on my hot rod. more to come...

A late Thanks to everyone for the unknown help the last few years!!!

*Photo is from last week when I finely got her started again and a bath from a not so painless, painless rewiring...

Regards,
