What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
The folks who fish it love the walleye and trout they catch. Not a fan myself but I fished ocean fishing for 13 years until the boat tipped over.
You will like showing your car initially, I showed my 65 Comet for 3 years before I quit. Too much time-tax to do it right.
I have shown my Barracuda three times since I finished it. Saturday will be the fourth if I decide to do it.
I fished in Westport and Ocean Shores Washington for a few years. My dad had a Cafe in Wesport and my grand dad had a commercial fishing boat there back in the 70's.
Never capsized a boat and lots of people have no idea how ruff ocean water can get. I bet you have some good stories to tell.

Changing the charging system on my 69 Slickback from 69, and back, to 1970, and up, system.I had been using the square back alternator, with one field grounded, for a few years now.

I was raised in Aberdeen in my early youth, Westport was a frequent destination for us. I dig Razor clams a couple times a year at ocean shores now, new cobalt/nickel knees permitting:)
We ocean fished out of La-Push WA and bunked in Forks. 385 miles from home. I had 5,000 hours on the water, 2,500 of them skippering the boat in the years we fished together.
The boat accident claimed my boat owning friends life and I haven't been on the ocean since.

Stuck my GoPro under the car to check my exhaust clearance over a giant speedbump that they just added to a road out of my subdivision. The camera WiFi's the video to my phone so I can watch what's going on while I'm driving. Good news is room to spare.

Got the new axels from Cass so found some time to assemble the rear. New springs are at home waiting. My goal this summer is to get the car down on its suspension for the first time in I don’t know how long. I’m sure it will only be the first of several times it gets put in and pulled back out.

Lots of work but looks great and be able to stop real fast.

My shoulder is gimpy, so I couldn't do any wrenchin'. Still wanted to do something, so cleaned up the back seats out of my rustbucket notch.. just water and a clean rag until I see how well they take that before using any chemicals. They look nice though. Now I just need to convince the wife that spending cash on the Cuda is worth it, so we can try them out. :)

Nice seat tell the wife spend the money the Cuda is worth it.

Nice rear seat, how are the front buckets,??. I have read somewhere, that the best, and safest way to clean vinyl seats is , just use mild soap, and water, and not to use "Armoral" type stuff on them.

Fronts as good as the back... beautiful. I have a post on here about cleaning seats, good stuff.

Charging system was dis-charging. With Mattax's help diagnosed a bad VR. Dropped in a Mancini Racing VR tonight - good to go.

At a pre-Gratiot Cruise cruise. The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise committee decided the 1 day event wouldn't be enough, so there is about 8 different "pre" events.

Got my Engine bay pretty much finished with the D4B adventure... (At 74 everything is an adventure).. Anyway, I noticed my lead battery cable ends were looking pretty shabby so I was trying to clean them up the last few days... Hell, they were replaced in the 80's (almost new)... But no matter what I did, I was not happy... So after much thought, I decided to replace them with new style ends... As I have noticed " LEAD " cable ends seem to be on the way out with the newer cars ... My 09 SRT Challenger & JK Jeep looked simple and clean !!! Okay, here is the results on my 65 Cuda... Not sure just yet if I am done... "Change" can be difficult !!!
