"STEVEN" sounds very Chinese-ish to me.
Just scroll the website a bit...

Steven Sung

But really that doesn't mean anything. They can still be better than any Edelbrock head.

They are cast a lot nicer than edelbrock heads. I had a set of each, still have the edelbrocks. The nice ports are the Aeroflow (Steven) head and the uglier port is edelbrock. The only bad thing about the Steven Head is that none of the threads had helicoils but the edelbrock did.

Lack of Heli-Coils is not a deficiency in my opinion, as long as the threaded hole has proper thread engagement length and the tap tolerance was chosen properly. Heli-coils are to repair the hole after it has been damaged to save the part. I can't tell you how many heli-coils I've seen fail or unwind out of the hole with the bolt. I'd much rather see a steel insert like Threadsert.

Yeah, I guess that's why you'll never see a military aircraft part that isn't manufactured with heli-coiles from day one! If they are installed correctly, they work just fine.

I agree the steel mold STEVENS look better than the sand cast Edels, they have always been a little rough (look at any air-gap port divider, then look at a steel mold Cross-wind). Ever seen an 80's Ferrari close up? The tube frames that the motor sits in (eg. F40) has welds that look like they are stick welded then painted over. Pretty rough looking stuff. I'm sure todays are a far cry better than the 80's. And Lord know that the old Fiats were downright awful. Every owner became a mechanic out of necessity. They were kicked out of US market for crap cars after the Strada.
