Lack of Heli-Coils is not a deficiency in my opinion, as long as the threaded hole has proper thread engagement length and the tap tolerance was chosen properly. Heli-coils are to repair the hole after it has been damaged to save the part. I can't tell you how many heli-coils I've seen fail or unwind out of the hole with the bolt. I'd much rather see a steel insert like Threadsert.
