Have a 1969 Barracuda that has just an AM Radio. Would like something to replace it but be FM. What are my options as a replacement? I don't want to have to modify the dash in any way. Not looking to spend a small fortune if possible..

Seen him @ Carlisle I believe the conversion was under $400///// your not going to find anything with a factory radio in that price !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the route I'm going with my am thumbwheel

I am lucky (unlucky?) to have a factory AM/FM in my '68 cuda. For original stuff be prepared to spend $600-$800.

Buy a remote control radio & mount it under the seat.

Put in some kick panels with speakers and but some 6x9s in the trunk divider. Won’t cost too much & will sound great.

I bought a blue tooth and amplifier module from ebay and converted my AM. Works great and cost less than 20 bucks. Could have done a radio module but there is no good radio around here. I blue tooth mp3's from my phone in all my vehicles now.

Hello MoparMike1974,
Nice job on the conversion of your radio. Looks very professional.
Can you provide the links to the parts you obtained on E Bay?
Can you add a link to the radio module also?
Dis the parts come with instructions on installation?
I for one would be interested in converting my radio my self.
Thanks in advance.
Happy Mopar :)

A factory am/FM will only be 2(or 4) watts. We paid $400 US to refurbish our factory am/fm. We could have had an entire system installed for $600 for a good quality system that included 4 speakers, amp and a hidden head unit mounted under seat.
Leave the factory one in the dash and install a hidden unit in my opinion.
