Wondering about insurance for new muscle
Wow! That is a huge difference and the truck worth a whole lot more too! That's crazy! I have been back and forth on a challenger for a while. I really want one but they are not very practical for what I need as far as my transportation requirements go.
For one I have to have hauling cargo room. I use my truck alot. I have to haul trash, I frequently use it for yard work and housework, so I'm hauling lumber, mulch, gravel, appliances, whatever else very often. So a car just isn't a practical investment. Then there is number 2 I have to have a 4x4 or awd. I live about 40 miles from work and winters can be unpredictable here. I dont have a job I can just call in and miss work due to weather conditions. So a 4x4 is a must. As much as I really want a challenger and i think they would be really fun and enjoyable to have it's just practical for me. And now that I know the insurance is triple that a big one too! Ever since my dodge truck went down last month I have been driving my wife's old mountaineer its awd and I have all the back seats folded down flat and use it like a truck it gets the job done so far. I will be fine until I need more gravel or appliances lol. I used my wife's little Nissan frontier to haul some mulch last week it done fine it is a really nice truck I like it so far!
Honestly if you can swing it look at stripper Toyota 4x4 trucks.
I bought one in the end of February, and like it.
Worst tank of gas was 22 mpg, best tank was 28 mpg, it’s my daily driver.
It drives like a car, with a 6’ bed attached, and it comes with jump seats in the extended cab for kids, or tiny adults.
The sticker was over 30k, but I told them I would only pay 25k, with no trade, and they accepted my offer.
It has two options, key fob and floor mats, but has hauled a lot of Mopar parts.
I put a hitch on the rear, tonight I moved my car trailer with a 70 Cuda on it, it did not like that at all, even in 4-low.
No power, but the trade off for fuel mileage.
Also insurance is cheap $240 6 months full coverage.
