Dying breed

The reason I stopped 1/4 Mile racing is because my local track started getting flooded with ricers and Fiat "muscle" around 2009/10.

I won't race against a ricer or plastic muscle. Some of those cars are fast, even faster than I was but I just don't feel it's right. For me, cars if the same kind should stage up and race.

So when muscle cars started disappearing and only new stuff was around, I couldn't get staged against other muscle, I disappeared as well.

The younger generation has a knack for talking dumb **** about cars, especially cars they are not familiar with. "Where is the knawwws" (NOS). "I would put a Toyota twin turbo on that"
It"s apparent they have no clue what old school super stock style racing of the 60s is.

I get to sick of the turbo everything crowd. Now a turbo slant is cool. But turbo ricers? I don't think so. I don't care if they are fast. Where will they be in 20 years? Clapped out in somebody's back yard or recycled as a frigerator.
