We don't have a Cherokee but we do own a 2018 Compass Trailhawk. We love it. Very comfortable. It's very nice to drive as well. Thus far, no issues with anything. The 9 speed auto is a bit annoying at times. That's it for the gripes.
My wife has a 2017 compass and loves it, hers is a stick shift.
I talked to another co-worker this week and his wife has a newer Cherokee and they really like it, no problems but he said the transmission sometimes starts shifting real weird.
