10.5:1 340. Eddy closed chambered heads w a solid flat tappit cam. What is recommended for spark plugs? Thanks for any help.

I ran with what Edelbrock recommended (Champion RC12YC) without issue in a 11-1 engine, with a stout street cam / Comp 296/525/110 solid

Was thinking about going w a cooler plug like Champion RC9YC or Autolite 3923. Anyone running cooler plugs?

my engine builder and dyno tuner used 0784 accel in my 416 with eddy heads

My 408 with 10.3-1 and edelbrock heads is running the RC12YC's since(believe it or not ) '09.No troubles and sees 6500 rpm regularly. That should be '06 not '09.

I ran Champions for two sets. Then switched to autolites and they have lasted much longer and ran better.

I tried to run the RC10YC plugs in mine. It didn't like the cold plugs.
I run RC12YC4 plug, I run a .045 gap.
It's a .020 360, zero decked pistons, solid cam & out of the box Eddies.
Runs 11.30's, with a best of 11.27. I put a set of plugs in at the first of the season & midway through. Running an MSD 6AL box & coil.

RN12YCs Mine were new in 1999,and went in with ..045 gaps. Now have over 100,000 miles on them.
11/1, 367 running 87E10, currently with a 230/237/110 cam@.549/.571 lifts, Accell Sq-top SuperCoil.
Are they the best? IDK, but they can sure take a lickin'; longest lasting plugs I ever had. My old 340s would burn 12s up pretty regularly, but those were not coppers.
I bought a new set in 2004 for to go to the track with.... The first set looked pretty good, and the car went 93(Eighth) on them. So... the new ones are spares and still in the trunk.

AR3922 with pump gas and now AR3911 with alcohol. I should change them someday but really it would be a waste of money. (Autolite)

RC12YC
