1973 340 price check?

.060 is nothing to be scared of if there is enough metal on the thrust side of the bore. I have had a few. Sure u may not be able to bore it again but how many ppl will actually drive their cars enough to wear out the motor. I’ve had 318s bored .130 thou to 4.04 to use stock bore 340 pistons. Never once a heating problem. Ur motor is worth what someone is willing to pay u. Kim

The '68 340 in my Duster is .060" over. Runs great, no issues at all.

If the engine in question is currently .060" over on a fresh build then it'll go 100k miles or more. How many people are going to put that many miles on it?

Now, if it's .060" over now and it needs to be machined again before being used that's a different story. But that's not how I read the OP's post.
