I wasn't into getting all greasy today, so I got the seats out and cleaned them up a bit just using water. One small burn hole in the pass side, but otherwise they look in great shape.
They still have a few stains. What do you all use to clean this old stuff without damaging it?

On white I have used Wesley's bleach white.
Its a pump spray used for cleaning white walls on tires.
Test an inconspicuous spot first before you spray the whole seat.
Also, do not hammer the threads- go gently on old seats at the seams.
Then use a vinyl conditioner to relax the material some.
A bit of research can go a long way.
Good luck.

I've researched a bit.. but there's always newer stuff. Didn't realize they still made Wesley's... used that a ton back in the day on white raised letter tires :)
Any brand better for vinyl conditioner, or some I should stay away from?
Thanks for the info!

There is a mix that works really well on cloth seats, may work good on the vinyls too.

Its a mixture of Distilled Water, a few drops of dawn dish soap, Club Soda, and Vinegar. On the cloth seats the Club Soda helped to float the dirt to the top, follow up rinse with some Distilled water in a spray bottle and wipe it up dry with Terrycloth Towels to pick it off and dry it up. If you give it a little time to let it work that helps to by keeping the surface wet for a while.

I use GoJo cream hand cleaner with lanolin on vinyl and leather.

Chemical Guys makes a convertible top cleaner which I've used on my vinyl seats with great results also.

I use diluted Meguiars all purpose cleaner and a nylon bristle brush. Really the most important part is using a nylon bristle brush to clean all the dirt out of the grain. Then I top with Aerospace 303 to protect.

Gun brushes work great in small spots or on steering wheels with grain that have a bunch of crud trapped in them.

These are all good ideas . I would go with the least aggressive cleaner as possible . I have used Blue Magic with success . I have used citrus cleaner too . Vinyl can use a soft scrub brush , about $2.99. Cloth may need to be a little more aggressive (I said a little more ). Yours look great so be careful . remember , their OLD , like me .

I use Adam's Polishes products and I love their interior leather/vinyl cleaner. I've been able to give seats a good cleaning.
