Will a 50.75" 8.75 flange to flange axle housing work?

Looking to swap out the 8.25 axle for an 8.75 in my 70 duster. There's a 50.75" flange to flange shortened axle housing that I was looking at, but don't know if that would work. End goal would be to put some offset shackles in the rear but I don't want to do any mini tubs. Looking to go with aftermarket rear wilwood disc brakes. Would I be forced to go with expensive aftermarket offset wheels to counter the shortened axle, or would wheel spacers work? Or is there other options I'm not considering? Or should I save myself the hassle and look for a stock length A body housing? Thanks.

I'm thinking the A body axle is actually 54.5?, so that would be a great choice I think.
The Duster has larger wheel openings than the Darts and I'm pretty sure I have seen and heard of 295 tires fitting with no mods to the car.

Let me check that length and get back to you.
Ok well I was wrong:D

"A BODY ’66-’72: 57-1/8″ so you would have about 3.5 inches to deal with on each side.
