Yeah, this particular scam has been floating around since at least 2006. The lawyers names change, but the content of the email is still the same. For whatever odd reason, the lawyers name is always comprised of two first names like Mark David, Frank Garry or some other combination.

Oh yeah, and he has always died on the 16th of February 2 years before the e-mail is sent.

It looks like he died on February 16th of every year since 2004. Stubborn bastard just doesn’t stay dead!

SO you are telling me I'm not going to be rich? Bastard....

I was hit with a relatively new scam yesterday. An email said that my purchase transaction went through and to click on the attachment if I wanted a copy of the record. Please just delete these kinds of emails without clicking on the attachments unless you know that you purchased something. The vendor’s name was not included in the email!

If I had that much money I would'nt stay dead either!!

Save the $10 you didn't loan Avista and buy some lottery tickets.

I’ve gotten a few of those emails. It alarmed me, so I checked the card that was attached and no charges. I knew something was rotten in Denmark, so I didn’t click it beforehand

I got one a few days ago fro a Canadian attorney representing some guy I’ve never heard of with the same last name worth millions. After settlement, he would fly to me to split the proceeds after he got us the money...
I put the letter in the recycling bin.

Please send 1.8 Million & i will release the funds lol

I need your checking account number to send the estate of the prince of Somolia gold to you. But first you need to send me $500 in amazon gift cards or I'll tell the IRS you're about to get a bunch of money.

Don't forget to send your Social Security number! Wouldn't want the money sent to the wrong address!
2 Weeks ago I had several calls one day that went to voicemail because I didn't recognize the number. The messages spoke of a scam involved by an unknown person using my Social Security number. They demanded that I call them back. The final message stated that I am now subject to arrest for non compliance but if I returned their call soon, the Police would be called off.
