I have a 1973 dodge dart where the brake lights do not work. I have checked the bulbs and they are good. The wiring looks like it is in good condition. I have not been able to find the fuse box to check the fuses and am not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

Fuse box might be under dash by e-brake

Brake switch on brake pedal.

Go to mymopar.com and download your cars Factory service manual

Fuse box is under the bottom edge of the dash just left of the steering column. The brake switch is right above the brake pedal. Check the ground wire that connects in the trunk near the trunk latch.

First check for certain that tail and turn signal lamps work normally. Make certain the rear sockets are grounded

Access the brake switch wiring and or the wiring at the turn signal connector. Get a wiring diagram. I believe the switched brake voltage from the switch is white, goes from there INTO the turn signal switch, which routes it to the rear lamps. So if you have brake lamp power (press the pedal) on the white brake wire right there at the TS switch, and nothing at the rear, it's a bad TS switch, assuming the turn signals work left and right otherwise

Check your dome light...not working per chance? It's on the same fuse as the brake lights.
