i wanted to add a third brake light to my driver more door. I already put LED’s in the tailights. I was walking around the pick a part yesterday a.m. and settled on an 05 sts in trunk third brake light. I removed the piece and paid a total of 13.86.
I took it home and cut off the Cadillac emblem with accompanying bump for the emblem. This made the light flat on the bottom. I also cut off the mounting studs. I made a simple “l” bracket for mounting g to the rear deck. Wired, looks super bright and is easy

Very nice. I'm going to investigate doing something similar.
Thanks for sharing! I wish you many safe stops.

Incorporate the charger race track brake lighting, and you got something there. Looks cool

If interior mounted fixture doesn't hug up tight to the glass the leaking light blinds the view out.
Models with pretty much flat and vertical rear glass are easier to fit and shield than others, like B'cuda for example.
Then there is usually a wiring/blinks with turn signals issue to resolve because these classics have combined brake/turn circuitry. Simple solution there is about 20 feet of white wire tapped into white at brake lamp switch and routed along left rocker with factory wiring all the way to the added fixture. Good luck to all.
