Yes it was sitting out at our local wrecking yard for almost 40 years. Been after it for around 6 years and finally he agreed to sell to me for 800. That is the original paint Looks way different before and after pictures and my grandson talked me out of it belongs to him now.

Nice.

I have a pretty good breakdown of production numbers if you can get me the first 6 of the VIN.

There are 3 Dusters one is for parts and the other 2? And a 62 Valiant at the same wrecking yard.

Here is the first 6 LL21B6
L = Dodge Dart
L = Low price class (170 model)
21 = 2 door sedan
B = 225-6
6 = 1966

I see it is a 3 speed
7226 of that combination manufactured for US sales

7226 were Manufactured?

It was three on the tree I converted to floor shift.

Thats so cool! My pick and pull yards turn their inventory over about every 6 months...not many old yards around. Only Mopars are anything with that v6 now, and minivans as well as useless trucks for me. Even the Neons are drying up. Love the old lead based paint, stuff lasted forever.

That junkyard is pretty remote when I looked it up. I’ve found a few in Springfield and Central Oregon that have had early A Bodies there for over 20 years that I know of that we’re complete and solid.

66 170 post sedans can be made into cool cars for sure. Saw this one at the Nats in 08.

It is very remote and there is quite a few 62 to 67 chevs even 2 door HT. 20 to 30 67-72 chev pick-ups but he considers them to be all his. A couple of A100 vans mid 60's and other 60's cars.

Burns, never been there but close too it. The hottest and coldest town in Oregon.
