Out here in N.J. visiting my folks for a week. Helped my dad do some rear axle work on his 1930 model A. So he hands me this. A 1/2" distributor wrench. What a handy item for me to have. Everything i used to work on mopar wise was big blocks and 2.2 turbos. A regular 1/2" wrench always sufficed for those. Now that i am doing small blocks I really need this tool.

Thanks
Dad !!!

Haven't seen one of those in a long time! Perfect tool for SB distributor hold down. 65'

Sweet. The ones for SBC don't work that well....I found a stubby swivel ratchet wrench woks good as long as the swivel is tight.

You can still buy them. Even HF has them. I have 2 of them. One is double ended 1/2 X 9/16. The other the handle can be rotated to help get at the bolt better. It has a 3/8 extension socket end on it, to rotate the closed box end on it.
Used them on aircrfaft in the Navy, for certain things. They come in handy for different things, at times.

That'd be real good, but small blocks have a 3/8 thread distributor bolt that normally has a 9/16 head. Big blocks too I believe. The 1/2 head is usually Ford stuff.

The perfect (for me anyway) distributor wrench, mine has a 1/2 inch head bolt with 5/16-18 threads. I have seen the larger bolt, too, though...

I have 3 or 4 of them different shapes/sizes. Handy.

Never seen these at harbor freight.

Great think about the way this tool is made is you can use a extension and ratchet for longer reach, and sometimes you run across a distributor bolt that is super tight. This allows you to use a ratchet for more leverage.
