Where are all the short bed regular cab Dodge Rams?

A friend of mine owned a regular cab, shortbox 4x2 for awhile. 4.7L auto... nice truck.

I went for a Hemi crewcab 4x4 Hemi as I needed the truck to be everything... family sedan, cargo hauler, tow rig, winter beater, etc.

For someone looking for a sporty reg-cab short-bed manual trans, the SRT-10 Viper-engined 6-speed trucks are coming down in price to an attainable level these days. They're not new and likely need a bit more maintenance than a regular Hemi Ram but they are damn cool. Had one come up on me in my Dart on the freeway a few days ago and honoured me with a super-fast fly-by. Awesome.

Take a look at the NW market. Lots of PUs in eastern Washington and Oregon. Try Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID. Volume dealer with a large used market.

Ive found a few within 300 miles. I’m narrowing it down now and will probably pull the trigger this week. Craig

Found one and had to travel 650 miles round trip. Love it so far. Hope to get 18 years out of this Ram. Craig

I just reread this thread---------
Last week I got a letter from a new dealer near me , it said that the shortbed standard cab trucks were in great demand , and they would give me an outstanding trade in on mine ,
probly just wanting to stir up some business . Just put a hemi exhaust and a power door lock on the pass. side , pretty happy w/ it now.

There’s actually quite a few 3rd gens on fb marketplace but the vast majority are 4.7s. I did find one dark blue 4wd Hemi
