[WANTED] 7.25 suregrip

I know it's a long shot for this but if dont throw out a line I cant reel one in..
I'd like just a sure grip carrier if possible, but I'd be willing to buy the whole thing if necessary.

Ok, I wanted $500 for mine but that would be local pickup. I could pull the carrier and ship it but it would be the same price.

I just cleared some room in my inbox. I may be able to pop the rear cover and get some pics, although I’m going on vacation for a week in just a few days from now. The rear was originally from a 1966 Barracuda 273 car that was fully optioned. It drove well with the rear, I just swapped it out for an 8 3/4 and put this in my 65 Dart.

So you're saying you'd take 500 for the whole axle local pickup? But you want 500 for just the carrier shipped to him? Did I read that right?

500+shipping for carrier or 500 with local pickup for everything. I don’t have any use for an empty 7 1/4 rear, all the value of it is in the sure grip and gears. Let me ask you this, what do you think the value of a 7 1/4 with no gears or sure grip in it is?

I'll say, enjoy your vacation first. This is not something I have to have right away.. I dont disagree with the value is all in the gears and carrier.

I guess it all depends on who wants it and why.
 
I know a guy who has one wants 200.00 for it 2.93 gears though, i sold two of them in the last 4 years you be surprised how many people think they are rare and dont check there 7.25 lol
 
i have a complete 7 1/4 rear diff drum to drum and i am in phoenix and might be heading that way next month but to el paso
 
I would be interested in one myself, but I know better than to ask. I will end up with less than what people want for a 7 1/4 sure grip narrowing this whole Ford 9" I have. It's all relative. Here's the deal breaker for me though on the 7 1/4 sure grip. Nobody and I mean nobody offers clutches and internal kits for them. The internal gears are not the same as the open diffs, either. SO, if you get one and it's not in GOOD shape (which is going to be tough because they are so old) good luck finding replacement clutches and internal gear parts. They were good units, though. I think all of them were the clutch style sure grip. I've never seen a cone style......not that that means a thing. I would never pay top dollar for something that you cannot find replacement parts for.
 
I have a 7 1/4 rear I am in the process of rebuilding, and is not completed. Still need to set gear pattern.
New parts:
3.91 R&P
Pinion, and carrier bearings (4)
Spider gears (4)
Axle end gears (2)
Sure Grip clutches
Spider gear shafts are good condition used (new not available).
Axle bearings (2)
Axle seals (2)

Axle housing has stock "A" body spring pads, and pads for inboard spring relocation. Axles are large bolt pattern.
I will sell as is for $500 (just about what I have in parts) or $600 completed, plus shipping. Pick up OK. If wanted completed will be about a month, as I have some real world stuff to do first.

Who and where did you source the parts from if I may ask? I'm looking to have a backup set if I should secure one of these.

I have a carrier without spider gears or the cross for them and no ring or pinion gears.
If I remember correctly it does have the clutches and side gears, but since the spiders blew up the side gears are probably not worth using, and the clutches probably need replaced.
Not looking for gold prices or anything like that.
