Reseal & gasket on 5.9L pan

Update: Pulled the pan with engine in the mounts. Pan would not clear TTI headers even when bolts loosened, had to pull out R torsion bar to spread headers. When dropped the center drag link, then had room to remove pan. I used the magnum style pan gasket and the rear pan seal has to fit in slot before pan goes up. Since magnum gasket is one piece with end pan seals, I made special studs with wire cotters to hold up pan gasket. That worked pretty slick. Overall, it would probably been quicker to pull engine than to do it like that. I found reason for leak that I will show in other thread, LA Oil Pan on Magnum.

Did you use extra sealant on the front corners of the pan where the LA gaps are or just hammer them out flat?
