BluePrint Engines 408 Roller Cam Stroker Engine - Pre Release Offer!

I haven't seen anybody ask this pointed question, Johnny and I'm not tryin to put you on the spot, but rather give you a chance to kinda blow your own company's horn a little but.......what's changed with Blueprint? Used to be we read about a lot of horror stories regarding quality control with assembly, bad parts......failures in general. Obviously though, somewhere down the line, something changed. What was it?

I think every company goes through changes as they grow. The biggest change is honestly how we deal with our customers. The same procedures and warranty policy that may work for a re-builder, doesn't work for a premium company selling premium product. At some point we went from a re-builder, with a performance division.....to a True and Blue Performance Engine builder that does very little, if any rebuild work. At the end of the day when we open up a warranty engine, and we find XYZ that may, or may not be our fault, we still have to take care of the customer and make them happy. Not saying its an invitation to throw a 400 shot at our most budget engine, but the difference now is we will work with customers, explain what the failure was, work with them for a resolution, and hopefully both come away smiling.

I had a forum member here admit to me that he dropped a piece of copper down the intake, and was honest about it. He approached me about buying a 2nd one, because he knew it was his fault. Long story short, I still brought that engine back for repair, and "took care" of the guy. Its all about treating people right, and hoping those stories and recommendations make it to their friends.

as far as failures, or "horror stories", I always tell people, You can find anything you're looking for on the internet... good, bad, indifferent. Hopefully those "bad" stories are mostly 10 years old, or older, and I truthfully think it has very little to do with quality, or changes, but more taking care of our customers. If we sell a long block engine with no carb, and the guy puts a leaky 950 on it that dumps so much gas in the oil that the pan is still full of 87 octane when it comes back....we still have to make things "right" with those guys...or we all know how easy it is to head over to facebook or the forums. I'd rather he tell 2 people how great we were to work with, despite the fault, than to make 10 posts about how our engine "failed"

Of course with our sheer size, we do have the power to source and manufacture premium parts, so with our growth came that as well. The more "BluePrint" manufactured or sourced parts we can use in an engine, the more in house quality control we can apply, as well as pass that savings down to our customers. Sometimes people associate "house brands" with lacking quality, and I assure anyone out there that is we're making it, or sourcing it, it has tighter specs and tolerances than many many "big" performance brands out there. Many of our parts are developed out of necessity, to replace items that don't meet our standards.

And of course I've been here for a few years now....and promoted BPE before that at my past endeavors....so there's that :)

but honestly, Great company, Great Products, willing to look into new markets (the 408 above, the hemi meeting i had last week..etc) and Great employees. I'm only in the office every few weeks or so with all my travel, and I still believe in and enjoy working with these people more than any other endeavor. We have a great team here, and proud to be a part of it.
