There's a vent hose attached to my filler neck...I was wondering where the other end of the hose should go...

On 67 dart it is steel and runs back down next to the filler through the fill tube to trunk floor gasket. From there I think it is open to the atmosphere above the gas tank. being a 70 your might have some more elaborate venting but from the look of it, it is the same as 67. I would replace all of the rubber hose with steel except for a small bit at the junction at the filler neck.

If it’s anything like my 65 Dart, that hose should be a preformed metal line that’s connected with a small section of rubber hose with Corbin clamps at the filler tube nipple and line routed through the trunk seal to vent underneath the trunk.

That line you're referring to...does it go back into the fuel tank itself?

NO!! It is exactly as described, please read again. It runs along the main filler tube, down through the filler tube gromment, and OPEN ends inside the rear frame rail. THAT IS the vent and MUST be open to atmosphere.

You car either does not have the evap control system, and has been conerted to the old style vent, OR ELSE it came this way from the factory. Only CA vehicles in 70 had the evap control vent

Please download a service manual from MyMopar. Get into the fuel section and the emissions system chapters, and it is all laid out

Dana described it pretty close. It goes INTO THE VOID of the rear frame rail and simply ends inside there. The frame rail has openings and allows venting.

Correct. It vents into the frame rail Unless your car is coded N95 for 1970 California. In that case it goes to a vapor tank and then to the valve cover breather cap.
