$1000.00 to change PS pump pulley.

My daughter was driving her 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she lost power steering. She opened the hood and the only thing left of the pulley (only 6 mo old too boot) was the metal part pressed into the shaft. She lives 50 miles away so she towed it to the local Dodge dealer. 2 days later she got a quote. They wanted just over $1000.00 to " change out the PS pump ( also 6 months old) and the pulley. She td them where they could install the pump and towed the Jeep the 50 miles. 12 minutes the reminents of the pulley were off. 12 minutes the new pulley was on. 5 minutes the new belt ( they kept the old one) was on. Fired up works like a champ.

I wore gloves but was in my desk job shirt with out a drop of grease on it.
