FiTech Install with MSD 6A Box

I can't read that diagram it's low rez. It is AFU. The one wire coming out of the ignition switch DOES NOT go back to the CDI Where did you get it? Link?

1..Go to MyMopar and download the aftermarket wiring diagrams as well as the facory shop manual. They are free. You may have to download Dodge vs Plymouth or vice versa.

Next you want to check for voltage drop in your factory harness To do that leave all present wiring in place, turn the key to "run" with engine stopped, and plant one meter probe on the battery pos post. Stick the other on the ballast resistor terminal which is fed from the bulkhead blue wire, and read the voltage. This should be a very very low voltage perhaps .3V. If it is more than that you need to fix it or work around it. One way is to add a relay

So far as wiring, you need to get to the original coil ballast resistor, and bypass it. Connect everything on the resistor terminals together. Now your coil wire will become "switched ignition" and will be hot in both "start" and run." This wire is used to trigger the EFI/ CDI and will now go to the white wire on the 6 pin EFI connector. This should branch off and also feed the "small red" trigger wire of the CDI. The CDI has a "large red" and "large black" Black goes to a good ground and large red gets a fuse and run it say to the starter relay big stud/ nut. In other words, "direct to battery."
