I must have bumped the red x when I was scrolling down. I didn't know it til I saw your post. I changed it. I was reading out of curiosity in case it happened to me. I have no opinion on it so the "disagree" was purely accidental. Steve
Didn`t read all these posts closely , none of them will seal if the flanges on a alum. water pump housing is warped from overtightening it , which was the case w/ mine . I have had a hard time overcoming the ''farm tractor tite'' , mentality I grew up with .
If u have a lathe , u can machine the thermostat housing of a little up to the inner edges of the bolt holes , creating a raised gasket surface to compress the gasket more.
