Well, I'm not much for introductions. But, I am the new kid on the block.
I've been around hot rodding for all of my adult life, just never had any Mopar
equipped vehicles. Most of the street rods I've owned in the past have been Ford's
with Chevy power plants, the last was a 30' Ford 5W Cpe. But, I've always had a
deep respect for the guys that had Mopars.

That being said, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and traded my 30' for
a 71' Dodge Dart Swinger that has a 01' Magnum 360 swap, 46re and a 741 with
4.10's.

I realize there are differences and some of it seems like a foreign language to me,
but having a wrench in my hand for sometime now, I'm willing to absord whatever
information this forum may offer and look forward to the challenge ahead.

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of like minded fellas and if I seem ignorant, well, its because I am. I got very thick skin, I just ask that you take it easy on this old guy.
For awhile anyway.

Welcome tinmannz.
I believe the saying is “I never knew I was a Mopar guy until I owned one”.
You came to the right place. Great guys with tons of knowledge here.
Love to see some pics of that swinger.

Let's see some pics!

Welcome from the frozen tundra. And you could not have joined a more informative group. They are however a bit merciless about pictures. By the way let's see your new mopar!
I`d like to see the old one u traded for it , too .

Thanks fellas, its nice to know that there is so much help and support available. Means more than you think.

Here are some photos of the tra-dee and the traded.

Nice rides!
Thanks. Street rods is a lot of fun and I have learned a lot, but I was becoming over saturated and burned out.

Not having anything Mopar through the years, I'm looking forward to a new learning curve and recharging my interest and motivation.

Walking out into the garage and not seeing my 5W is bittersweet, but I have a new set of bones to work with and hopefully I came out on top of the trade. I'm certain that I did.

Its refreshing to be a part of the madness!

"A deep respect for Mopar guys" now what's that supposed to mean?

I think he meant the Mopars always looked respectable from the back.

That's a damn nice Dart with the equipment to actually be able to use it.

Welcome to FABO. You'll fit in well here!

I see you're from Idaho. I spent 3 years in Lewiston recruiting for the Air Force. Got to see quite a bit of county up there since there are more deer and elk than people! Loved the place and would happily return.
