Hi everyone i was just wondering why the spare parts boxes in the mid 60’s came in different colours for different parts. These are the ones with the first of the Mopar round M’s on them any ideas?

Colors matched with the parts manual at the time to identify the different parts lines they had going?

I just cant see that I get a ton of ignition stuff, seems like it is kind of a era thing. Pre sixty they are in the old mopar boxes then the sixties seem to be grouped by age packaging.
Great question by the way got me curious.
Part numbers are pretty good to year group parts by.

I found this that would seem to indicate wires and cables were brown
