The woman that took my daughters life had a blood test and not breathalyzer... so I’m not just “Throwing a number around”!
Also keep in mind that her blood was drawn well over an hour after she was taken to the hospital.

Exactly correct! A breathalyzer is just a field tool to know if someone is close or over the limit. The bac test they do at the jail is what the courts go by. At least in va. If you refuse a breathalyzer it's an automatic DUI.

Back when I drank I bought a decent breathalyzer. It was entertaining to sit around and experiment. I weighed about 235. What I found is that I was very happy and quasi-functional at .08 to about .12. More than that was a cluster*. I could barely feel the effects at .04. It took about 3 quick bottles of Heineken to get to .04. Two more bottles and I saw .08. Interestingly, drinking a glass of water before blowing about halved the BAC reading.

so i will make this as short as i can.
I used to drink and drive, a lot.
All of us did.
We prided doing everything while drinking.
12 pack always sitting next to you, broad daylight , who cares.
We had a band. We always played drunk.
We fought a lot and threw our weight around. dysfunction and the celebration of stereotypical booze hound womanizing was where it was at during those times.
1/3 of my friends are dead from alchohol or drugs. Another 1/3 died from onset illness like cancer or suicide.
I got my 1st dui when i was 18 in a 74 dart custom. 2nd when i was 24 in my 67 valiant. My friend Lars got his 3rd in his 68 fury, Ryan got 1, billy had 3 dui, all minor accidents like parking lot **** while leaving the store. My brother laid his harley down into a newly built dead end road, i to the driveway it slid and launched through the garage door and halfway through the kitchen wall... he broke his femur, wrist, hip. Brad got his 1st and died, in a caprice ,out on armstrong in fresno after rolling it end over end... throwing him unseatbelted out the back window and broke his head on the curb support foe the chainlink fence he went through after the rail road tie fence in the 1st yard he blew through. only concrete within 50 sq.yrds My best friend Brian Zarate died in '16 on the corner of centinela and sm blvrd hitting one of the thee oldest and biggest trees on any city block in LA... sending his dog through the windshield and the motor shoved up into the cab. crushed his right foot, impact cause bleeding of every major organ and he died by the time he was set on the table. His toyota tocoma had a recall on the airbags... his didnt deploy. I can keep going... and name all the people...
Some can do well driving drunk... some can do it well for a long time.... but it will catch up with you and everytime you drink and drive...you fill the place in the que of the last person to die drinking and driving aka you're next.
I never wrecked into anyone while drunk... but i have goosed it hammered drunk and got the *** end out from under me and spun out into a curb at 60 mph... bent lower c.a ,strut, 2 slot mags destroyed, ovaled the spring perch locator... and what do i do? i walk to the corner and buy another buddy 40oz and drink it next to the car as to say i 'just started drinking' to get over hurting my car... no cops showed, no one helped 'so cal' ..sigh.. so i bumper jacked that fkr up and put a spare under the front to get it off the sidewalk where it was high centered...and fired it up and drove it off the curb, changed the blown rear tire for the spare i used to put under the front wheel... and drove it to the gas station 2 blocks up with the front pigeon toed n squealing....then called AAA.
Very dumb, could have destroyed the car, other people and even myself.
It's only a matter of time... hence quit while you are ahead.

They should make cars illegal, cuz
they kill a lot people, cause a lotta damage, are used in committing countless kinds of crimes, ruin countless lives, and are polluting the world we live in. See; problem solved; drink yourself to death, smoke yourself silly, no more drive-bys. and you better be able to run really fast carrying that ATM.
Make it mandatory to open carry, everybody carries a sword.Don't piss me off. Bring back the whipping post and the stocks, and the stoning to death.
Put a wall around every city, not to keep bad guys out, but to not let them escape. Set a limit to how large a city can be.
Let the drunks fall down in the street, and the donkey I'm riding can piss on them.

Until very recently (5-ish years ago IIRC) it was up to the state's and most states were .10.
Boating has been noticeably more tolerant until very recently as well, in some states the BAC for boating is double what the driving limit is.

I spent 30 years with the CHP, and found all kinds of ways to arrest drunk drivers. I enjoyed every minute of it. No excuses and zero tolerance!
If you drive after drinking, and think that you can "function fine" while intoxicated, you are a stupid cunt, and I hope you get a DUI, and the state pushes your **** way in, and it is the life changing event that makes you pull your head out of your ***.
Because the alternative life changing event is killing or maiming yourself and/or other innocent people.
Absolutely zero tolerance for it, especially with all the options we have now. You don't want to take a cab or uber, riding with someone and coming back later for your car or truck is too much of a hassle?
Then regardless of how old you are, or how long you have been drinking, you are not smart enough or mature enough to drink in public in the first place. Stay your dumbass at home.

Drunken drivers don't have accidents . They have an "on purpose ". DUI is a decision made by the individual at the time of driving . No one else makes the decision . After seeing my daughter in the hospital after her drunken brother rolled her car over @ 65 mph . Her mangled twisted body in a cast and the loss of 3 fingers .
And her low life drunken , drugged brother ran away and told law enforcement he wasn't driving . F***ing scumbag . Now we have alcohol ,weed ,oxy,cell phones, texting to deal with on the road . NUTS ! If you want to kill yourself , go ahead , don't take an innocent 5 year old child with you . And , BUILD THE WALL
