Any information from this picture? I checked casting number on block and date. Intake? Heads?

Top pic looks like a Poly to me. Hemi would have the plug wires through the valve covers. I don't think there was a Gen 1 Hemi with bolts through the top of the valve cover.

I've got a 392 and the valve covers are about twice the size and plug wire holes. That looks like a poly to me also.

Water pump is a dead give away. Plus the poly has 2 bolts holding the valve cover on the top and it doesn't appear to be there.

Jake do you think it's a poly? I'd like to see a picture of side of the valve covers.
The second picture looks like the *** end of a B/RB

That's why I would like to see the sides of the valve covers. Plus the valve cover bolts in the pictures and the drawing look different spacing

And the front oil fill/vent is pointed a different direction. I think it's a rendering/drawing, so accuracy could be off. The one shown is a 1955 version, they may have changed things into the early 60's and god only know how Desoto, Plymouth, Chrysler and Dodge would vary between themselves of the same year. We need a resident Poly Guru....

Thank you. Aside from not knowing anything else. What a ballpark value? Also interested in information on this.

Not enough to retire on. lol Is it stuck? Or does it turn? That would certainly make it worth more. Someone doing a rat rod would like it very much for its distinctive valve covers. I would think if it turns, probably in the 500 dollar range.

If it came from Christine its worth some money.

You'd need to ID it and find what it was from. Folks could be looking for original parts or a core to rebuild.

It depends on what size poly. 315 and 325 are the most desirable of the Dodge polys, but only after you put a set of Dodge hemi heads on it...

Wasn’t there weird sized poly’s. Like 303 and 313. Maybe a 270? Kin

Yes, several different sizes, but this one is a Dodge (240, 271, 315, 325, but I'm not sure all 50s Dodge V8s were both poly and hemi)

53ish Red Ram Poly ... available with multiple carbs as well . Police Interceptors came with them IIRC

Christine had a 350 Golden Commando.

Looks like Polys started in 55 and used the same blocks as the Hemi . Interesting
I remember seeing one in a salvage yard years ago but wasnt really familiar with pre-60s cars.
