New Melling Oil Pump Question

Nothing wrong with taking it apart and smoothing edges or removing potential burrs..
1st off.. Everyone does it their own way.
That said... i draw oil through them before bolting them on. They're pumps.. as long as they're wet primed, they will draw immediately. A then you have assembly lube, for more then just rotating it as it goes together.
