I recently acquired a 1965 Valiant 200 with 16,000 original miles. Other than one repaint (some years back I would guess), it is amazingly original. See the pictures I've posted in my Member Garage.

Welcome to FABO Bill. That Valiant is a dandy!

OMG that car is sweet! Keep it just as it is.... Our first new car was a 1965 Dart 2 door in that same color, 273 V8 with 3-on-the-tree. Loved that car but it rotted into a sieve here in the Northeast in about 7 years.

Scan of old Polaroid, bride and Dart camping in Adirondack Mts. fall of 66.

Wish I had taken some better pix of my cars over the years, had some nice Mopars....

Good find Bill great car you have and welcome to FABO.

:welcome: aboard!

I used visit Luray, Va. back in the day, there was a winged car close by.

Welcome aboard!! That is a beautiful car! I really like it! I'm a fellow Virginian!!! I'm about 3 hours south of you in wytheville.

Welcome from Berryville, VA (just a few miles north of you). Used to go to Luray about once a month to go canoeing on the Shenandoah River. Here's a picture from back in the 80's when my friends and I would go up to my family's cabin on the river to go canoeing. Thats my old (long gone) 67 Coronet and a buddy's 62 MGA parked in the back yard next to the Shenandoah River.
I actually have another red 67 Coronet convertible now, and my buddy who had the MG, now has a 66 Sunbeam Tiger and a 69 Dart convertible.

Thanks for all the replies! I intend to keep the car as near to factory original as possible. Where I need to replace some item, I will keep the original part in the trunk for reference purposes. For some reason, the previous owner replaced the original (and unusual) plug wires and cap with a "modern" set. I sanded the inside terminals of the original tan-colored cap, cleaned out the plug terminals, and reinstalled the factory set. Works perfectly.

Jim - My farm is about 3 miles south of Luray. I have a very good classic car friend who lives in Berryville, Joe Pascale. He operates several classic-car storage buildings in the area and has some very fine muscle cars in his collection.

Yes, I know "Store it With Joe". I last ran into him at Chrysler Carlisle. I have seen his plum crazy purple 70 Challenger and his white 60 Cadillac convertible (he has driven both over to my place). Didn't know what else he has. Might see him later today at a local club meeting.

Small world! Joe and I have been friends for some 30 years.

Welcome to the Low mileage A Body club, though you have me beat in age and distance, my Duster currently has 27600 miles on the clock, and not the original color.

Really like the Valiant, looks very pristine, enjoy it.

Since you aren't too far away, here are a few local car shows you may want to put on your calendar:
Saturday August 24th 4-7pm downtown Berryville VA car show (about 300 show cars on Main Street and a respectable number of classic muscle Mopars are usually included); Saturday August 31st 10am-3pm downtown Charles Town WV car show (about 400 show cars on Main Street). Sunday September 15th 9am-4pm, Miller Chrysler Dodge dealership car show in Martinsburg WV (usually over 100 classic Mopars). Saturday September 21st 3pm-7pm Family Drive in Theatre car show in Stephens City VA (nice car show followed by a car related movie, and then you can stick around for the current movie featured ,usually about 100 cars. don't know what movie it will be yet.).
