Altho i did spend some time and open up my "new 360 core" it looks great inside and my machinist says its good to go with hopefully just a bump hone.

Heres what the new block and intake will be replacing.

Nothing fancy but I picked up a newly machined .030 over 360 block today. All cleaned, Maged, deck squared, cam bearing and soft plugs installed. Price was to good and the guy selling it needed cash. Might be a perfect fit for a K1 Stroker crank, K1 Chevy sized rods, and some high compression Wiseco Pistons taking space on my shelf.

Im so close i can smell it. Im hearing blower whine in my sleep...

Oh man, 700+ HP in my very light weight "street car"..... if my girlfriend or my sister dont kill me first for not saving up for the wedding it should be done before the winter sets in....

:)

It’s one thing to make it and another to be able to use it. Chassis, convertor, and rear gear will test your ability real fast.

Yeah, i think i have my chassis sorted fairly well. 12 point cage, frame connectors, ties side to side, my converter will probably need to be sent back and rebuilt (ultimate converters) and CRT full race 904. custom driveshaft with 1 ton u joints.
My rear is soild, narrowed 9", back brace, billet spool, 35 spline cromemolly axles.
Rear gear is 4.88 now but i may change it out if i get to much spin.
Mopar SS springs on sliders.
295X65X15 drag radials.

Just lacking good shocks.

But yeah getting the power to the ground is key!

Not an expert on power adder engines but the 4.88 gear will be to deep for sure and at a minimum I would think Caltracks should be used instead of super stock springs.

410 eddy headed small block ....in 71 Dart

Had just been repaired from broken exhaust valve...were open chamber and now close chamber heads...great work done by IMM...

I do have the page from here saved about how to build cal tracks.

My first change will be to swap out the rear gear. Better, more comfortable cruze and less tire spin will be nice.

With the power im making now and the fact that i only run 1/8 mile the 4.88 work great every where except the HWY.

Im not opposed to building a 4 link at some point. Its just time and money, both are lacking.

:)

408 in 71 Duster ....eddy heads done by SDSS many years ago...basically same as 410 above.....photos show it with SV intake and Hedman headers.....have Victor 340 and TTI headers ...has gone a best of 10.29 in Vegas.
