Can they be allowed in through marriage?

Not people.
I was at the Syracuse car show 3 weeks ago and took a pic of a Nash Metropolitan. I sent the pics to my wife and she fell in love with it. Technically a British car, but hold on there: Nash, an American brand, had the car produced in England. Back in the early 50's, Nash and Hudson merged, and they became AMC. AMC was acquired by Chrysler and there you go!
Nash Metropolitan is the "bastard, red-headed stepchild" . It's a crooked family tree...but I think it holds up in court.
I guess I'll allow it.

They're cute. Ya they were an Austin.

Mother had one. Little beggar got like 40mpg around town, and that was way before that was even an issue . You can get 8 humans in a Metro, been there :rofl:no t-shirt though.

Most mopar car shows now a days are letting FIATs in.

Rows and rows of new challengers, who would have thought FIAT would be into making muscle.

When they start aging and breaking down, I am going to use my best Italian accent and say Feeex eeeeet again Tony!!!!!

The car shows are filled with brand new Fiats with Dodge names.

The original Chrysler brand died a long time ago. :-(

I have a Willys and a AMC Jeep, are they chrysler no.
I had a Wranger is it a chrysler product yes.
Last year at the Mopar Nationals they had a special parking spot for AMC products, there were some really nice ones there.

Metros rock. THIS PLACE is near me, you can get everything for them. as long as there's no GM crap at the show, i'm good with it, otherwise...

A Nash is as much a Chrysler product as a Chevy.

I had a very big and burly uncle who had a Metropolitan before I was born - gone before I ever saw how he got in an out of it

Racist.

I think it's fair to say that any Chrysler after about 1990 is in AMC, and not the other way around.

I thought Chrysler bought Jeep, got Renault in the purchase and American Motors just went out of business.

Well....your personal family bloodline has none of your wife's DNA in it ( this side of the Mason Dixon line, assumed), but that won't stop her from getting "the house"

Here's the details - short versions Renault bought a lot of AMC stock, US Govt didn't want a partially French Govt owned entity owning a defense supplier (AM General - HMMV), so AM General was sold. Chrysler needed more capacity, so had AMC do assembly for them, then bought stock of AMC.

American Motors Corporation - Wikipedia

I'm just waitin for Fiat to sell off whats left of Mopar to Ford, then I can take all my chit to a Ford show ( IF I ever took a car to a show!!???). BAaaa hahahahahahahha
When I go to a car show to look, socialize a little, I just give a thumbs up to everybody and every car. Do I look like I really care?
