Not sure how far exactly it is, but Porter Racing Heads (PRH here) is in northern VT. Probably a few hours from you but worth the drive IMO. I don't have anyone in the Syracuse area I know of.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.
I'm not quite understanding if you want a complete engine or you want just heads and a cam change.

If you are just looking for someone to change the heads and cam while still in the car, Trick Auto in Mattydale could do that.

I would second Porter Racing heads. A bunch of the “broken dreams of horsepower” come from 1) not being honest with yourself of what your goals for the car are. 2) not being able to accurately convey that to the person you choose to pick/setup the motor. 3) mission creep. The more you know about the rest of the car the better suited your parts will be. I’m not being critical, there are two basic types of people. One that wants to know the what,why,when,how of engines and one that just wants it to perform as expected. If you are the just want it to perform guy, you need to be able to trust the person actually making the detailed choices. I’m supremely confident in PRH’s ability to provide a cam and head combo that will meet your needs. It’s worth the travel to me and I’m probably much farther away. If he doesn’t think it will help you reach your goal he will tell you.
I've used both Todd (Competition Wedge) and Dwayne (Porter Racing Heads) Can't go wrong with either. Being from the lower part of the state I've shipped heads to Dwayne, but for the Hemi build I dropped off and then picked up from Todd.
