Anyone Use the Proflex Commander

The Proflex Commander system by Advance Fuel Dynamics is supposed to let you run E-85 in your late model engines. It advertises that it allows you to switch between E-85 and straight gas seamlessly. The benefits are better performance than premium, cooler running and more tolerance to powers adders. However, since E-85 does not have as much energy yield as gas you will burn more per gallon, but it is cheaper. Saw it on Stacy David's Gears show. Just curious if anyone is using it on their hemi.

Burn more but it's cheaper. Sounds like a wash. That said........let me say this. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for asking about a product and not only TELLING US what it is, BUT ALSO posting a video. Most of these cats just ask if we've heard of something with NO explanation, NO pictures, NO link, NO nuthin. YOU however broke the mold and I for one thank you!

It looks and sounds purdy interestin IF you wanna run E85. The only reason I would run it would be to get away with more compression than pump gas could handle and THEREFORE that would render it for me useless, because I'd have no reason to switch back and forth. Maybe I'm "not seein it" but I don't really see a reason to switch back and forth. Well........I can think of one. If you had nitrous. That's kinda a "temporary" power adder. A blower, turbo or high static compression ratio is a much more permanent power adder and "to me" you would not want to switch back to 100% gas......but maybe I'm missin somethin.

I mean....it just "seems like" either you want E85 or not. Help me out here.

I saw this used on one of the car shows I watch, and they said the system senses what fuel is in the line and adjusts for it.
Which also required a bigger better fuel pump and oversized injectors for when running the E85.
Didn't really look worth it to me, but it was cool to know.
