Can I run 360 la extractors on a 360 Magnum

Hey guys I've got 360 pacemakers to suit in LA engine. I want to run them on my 360 Magnum that's running enginequest heads. I've checked out the difference in the ports and the LA extractors are much deeper and nearly come off the bottom of the Magnum head. They only touched by 1 to 2mm at the base. I'm thinking they may leak. Another option would be to run the Magnum head gasket which would help cover the whole but I'm not sure if it would just blow it out.
Has anyone run these successfully
 
Yup. They bolt to the engine the same.
 
The exhaust manifolds or headers are the same for a LA or Mag, just bolt the on.
 
Yeah the bolt pattern is the same but the ports are a different shaped. The la360 ports are much longer top to bottom. they go so low that where the bottom of the manifold port sits against the head for there's only 1mm contact. The Magnum heads are the same as the 318 ports

The center ports have a wider margin between them on magnums...same width from port to port/bolt to bolt .
The headers will work if you have a muffler shop weld a bead across the bottom of each port then grind and file.

Thanks for the post. It's exactly what I'm doing right now. Didn't think of it yesterday but thought of it this morning. Thanks heaps
 
I'm running the same Headmans on my Magnum that I had on my LA with zero issue's.
Remflex gaskets.
