Hi there can someone post the small, medium and large box dimensions. Also the weight they allow. If it fits it ships, right? I will be in North Dakota next weekend so I’ll bring parts to ship if somebody wants. Thanks. Kim

Weight is unlimited. Box sizes and pricing are on the USPS website.

Because I like you more than they do Kim.... LOL

large box does have a weight limit of 70 lbs. Thats like a slanty head, if it fit.
24X11X3 will hold a standard cast intake (LDxxx, Performer, M1 dual plane) high rises wont fit.

Here are the prices included with the size. I see now why they have different sizes one is inside dimensions the other is outside!

I like this one, I have shipped slant 6 intakes and exhaust (separately) and small block intakes in it....

If you can't find the size that you need, you can order them online from the post office and they will send you a bundle free... If you don't need a whole bundle, just take what you need and bring the rest to your local post office...

I have found that some post offices do not carry all the available sizes, so look around or order them online...

I calculated that a lead ingot cast in the shape of the small flat rate box would come in at about 68 lbs... (as in, just barely under the 70 lb weight limit)
(yeah, the USPS pissed me off, and I was thinking about going into the bulk lead reselling business on ebay to square things up, but they finally paid my claim 3 months and 3 weeks later - yes, sometimes I'm petty enough to at least research things :) )

I saw a USPS counter guy take an oversized item and take 2 large flat rate boxes, slide them together so one was inside the other and he taped it up so it was about 4 inches longer total. I think he just didn't give a rip anymore. Wonder if that item made it....I ordered a whole bundle of the large "game" box sized boxes, they were delivered for free in 2 days on my doorstep. I used a few under the pan of my slow oil leak truck.

I've shipped stock iron, lg4b, ld340's, rpm, air gap, strip dominator in one of the game board (Large FR) boxes.

I’m looking to ship a set of aluminum heads. I sent valve covers 1 time in a flat rate box. I think it will be to low for the heads. I think the box was about 22 x12x4. Kim

I have over stuffed flat rate boxes. As long as you can get it to close, they don't care too much if the sides or top is bulging. Tape the hell out of it and your good......usually.

Weight limit on anything thru the USPS is 70 pounds. When I use to load ammo I was getting bullets shipped in Flat Rate Priority boxes. Some of them were right at 69.9 pounds....

I retired from the cesspool in 08. Would much rather see a "battle of the bulge" box than one with open air space. The open air space is a crush hazard, which will the start of yet another "I hate the USPS" thread...

Might have someone on the way out. Clerks measure every box I bring in, that is not a flat rate box.
