The “Easy Rider” is gone

.. It’s called common decency..Remember what our parents taught “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all.”

Ha, 20% the posts here would fit that bill..about cars. RIP Mr Fonda.

FYI, his bike was a Triumph

Nope. It’s called common decency. And it sadly seems to be a lost trait from all generations these days...and inexcusable from any of them.

The man died and his family is grieving. Respect that, whether you personally liked all of them or not.

Remember what our parents taught “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all.”
If that's the case then why say anything, leave it be. No need for the Dudley Do-Right crap, you're preaching to the choir. It's about respecting veterans and America...so get off your soap box.

So much anger and so little forgiveness...even for just a moment. Sad that, and a further shame that you would attack me for my opinion.

Tell me to cram my opinion up my ***?

Wow, that’s not what I expected from a decent and honorable man who has respect for people.

All I can think of is that that somehow, I hit a nerve.

I never told you to cram your opinion up your ***...or even said it was wrong. I just stated mine with conviction and somehow that angered you.

I will have to reconsider any future interaction on this forum.

Lmao, hey calm down.

Oh what a BORING world it would be if everyone lived by this mantra.
**** that. I LIKE truth. I Like reality, not a sugar coated response or an empty RIP, Condolensces...He will be missed or any other of that stuff.
The man made a few movies BUT lately he just made an asshole of himself.
Screw him. I'm glad he croaked. He railed against the President and threatened his family.
Hate the President all you want but leave the family alone.
I hated Obama but I would have never threatened his family and I am a rude dog.

Sorry, but I believe decency comes first at a time like this. Maybe it’s how I was brought up. When someone dies and their family is grieving, either be Kind...or say nothing.

Opinions can wait, decency comes first.
Who here thinks that anyone in his family is a site member?

Whose was a Triumph? Both bikes in the movie were heavily modified Harleys. Hopper rode a 50 Hydra Glide and Fonda's was a panhead "of some sort".

Pishta was just poking you bro. Any self respecting gearhead knows those were H-Ds.

I guess I'm not self respecting. I've never seen the movie. I didn't know what the bikes were until I looked it up a bit ago. I guess I'm goin to gearhead hell.

That's too bad, rest in pease

I never cared for the guy he didn`t have near the talent his dad had . If it were not for his dad , he probly never would have been in any movies, most were low class anyway !!

SOB, I remembered an article a long time ago that said it was a Triumph in a HD frame that was pieced together from bikes bought at a police auction...well they got it half right! Me and bikes are not the closest.

Definitely can tell those were panheads. Triumph had a 2 cylinder setup that was side by side, and a Trident triple cylinder also side by side, not a Vee configuration like an H-D. No way they could make a triumph twin even come close to looking like that.
