I am about to clock my oil filter adapter you gave me (thank you) I will call before I do
Now to thank @krazykuda for all his help locating the corect new bolts I need for the flex plat and TQ converter, Make sure that you torque them properly with a torque wrench when you put them together... That way they won't come loose on you...

Yep, flex plate to crankshaft bolts are 7/16-20 and get torqued to 55 foot pounds...

The torque converter to flex plate bolts are 5/16-24 and get torqued to 270 inch pounds....

I just looked it up in my service manual.... Thank you Brother

The 90° oil filter adapter goes toward the back and about 10° - 15° below perfect horizontal from the factory.... So it points rearward and slightly downward....

Keith has been running the same headers I have (11 years now) I want to aim it down as much as possible @krazykuda

Mine is aimed straight back, the headers won’t allow for it to be pointed down with a larger filter.

Mike thanks for the engine
It runs well
I put a new chain and oil pump
And gaskets just because
And this intake going on soon

Snap, picked 1 of those same twin carb offy manifolds recently off feebay, going to run a pair of Carter bbs's ( & Hygrade kits ) & period chrome Air cleaners.
Is that an Offy linkage too ? Or did you make it up ?.
Cheers Trev

I had a spring give me a hell of a fight on the second day of Spring but I won the fight, never thought I would be laying on my back under my dash wrestling with a clutch spring at 60 , glad that's behind me.
Got my automatic big brake pedal in

Musta been a helluva fight for you to say it twice.

It was a Biouch getting the spring to come off, used a heavy string and a grinder , don't ask :drama: but this is dun, today is grind the tabs off the steering column and clock my oil filter adapter , then I hope to matt the trans to the 360 and see if I can drop the two in place together

Well the 360 is in to stay, as well as the 904.
Life has been a busy thing in the last couple months, I help care for my brother Pete, looks like lung cancer has hit the family again.
Trying to gather my mind towards something other then brothers heath on this day and Victoria saved me .
What a great day spent doing what I enjoy.
I know a bunch of you have been wondering where and what I have been doing. Thank you for all the support this site have gave me. Y'all rock.

Lookin good, Mike. DO it at your own pace. Real easy to get the wind knocked out of your sails with life sometimes. Try not to let it get to you.

Yes, do as Rob says. Take it at your own pace, and use your time as a relief from day to day duties. It will do your heart and mind good, and the next thing you know, things are done and you’re moving on. More motivation in jobs well done will yield more jobs well done, next thing you know, we’re watching the fire up video!

Hey Mike, I see from the picture that you're running an aluminum water pump... What kind/style of radiator are you going to use with that???? If you're going to run a 70's or later radiator, you should be able to use molded hoses from a 70 or later a-body to work... If you're going to run a 60's style radiator then you won't be able to use molded hoses... :BangHead:

However if you're going to run a 60's style radiator, I would change to the cast iron water pump so you could run the 60's style molded radiator hoses...

It also looks like you have the 60's style alternator mounting bracket... I'm not sure if the pulleys will line up with that one or you may want to look into using the 70 and later alternator mounting bracket...

If you stay with the aluminum water pump, you may want to consider changing the alternator bracket to the 70' and later style and also running the 70 and later style water pump pulley so the belts will line up properly...

If you run the cast iron water pump, then go with the 60's style bell shaped water pump pulley for the alternator belt to line up with the other pulleys...
