BBP conversion on my cuda
We all know the choice of aftermarket wheels is pretty slim for the 4" bolt pattern and pretty pricey to convert it all over. I bought a couple pairs of adapters off EBay for $35. And 20 3" wheel studs from Summit, $60. Heres my low budget conversion plan.
Knock the studs out of the adapter, bolt it on to my hub and rotor and back drill the new 4.5 pattern in the hub. And the same on the rear axle flanges. Install the new 3" studs and bolt the new 4 1/2" wheels on. You have 2 choices here. Leave the adapters on for spacers or take them back off . Looks badass leaving them on. Heres a couple pics with them on.
No clearance issues. I believe that you could put a 10" wide wheel on the rear, plenty of space between the spring and tire.
