1965 4-barrel intake

Well, thanks for the math lesson! But I already own a performer intake and a holley 4 bbl sitting on it now. I understand that there will not be any drastic performance increase, BUT, I have put four bbls on sbcs that were 2 bbls in the past and there was an increase in seat-of-the-pants feel. And right now, that's all I really care about.

Go ahead and put the 4bbl on it. 273 with 8.8:1 compression ratio and 180 factory hp. Gain another easy 20 hp, puts you at 200 hp and then have fun opening up the secondaries for the added performance when you want it.

The tone of the engine will deepen as you are giving it the fuel that it needs. Another trick, put on light aluminum wheels like slots, less rotating mass to spin up. There is another instant performance boost right there.

Seat of the pants, heck yeah . . .
