9.5” or 10.5” Bell housing....opinions?

Gathering parts for the wife’s 66 Valiant, she wants more power and a 833 4-speed, currently a 170 3-speed. Should I run a 9.5 steel bell or a 10.5 aluminum bell housing? Car will mostly likely have a mild 318 4bbl or a 360 with stock exhaust manifolds. Some questions I have are can the 9.5 ones take a little thrashing and mild horsepower? I know it’s heavier, cheaper $$$ (usually) but an easy install. Is there a good quality clutch disc for it?

The 10.5 is more heavy duty and easy to get good clutches for, but it will require me to get the 9.5 to 10.5 early abody conversion clutch/z-bar kit that Brewers Performance sells...well, I don’t need to but I used this in my 66 and it was awesome, little spendy but works flawlessly! Only drawback is things get tight when installing these parts.

Tell me what you all think, thanks!!

You can actually use the S6 clutch with the 9.5. If you want to beef it up change the springs.
