1971 Duster Tires and Wheels Need Some Help
Indy headed R3 5500 stall 456 with 29x14.5's on the rear it weighed 3650. I was pulling it in the shop to cut weight for the season after it sat in the trailer with these tires for the winter tube K-member and remove the heater box and stereo. I drove the car on the street for many years. The top rings were shot from it running hot for years before i found the defective Be-cool rad.
The motor is fresh now and may sell it if my son don't start on the car this year. I have a brand new bare shell to build a light weight car. and all NOS parts. including a grille and a new Be-cool rad. I am having a hard time doing the work at my age. And my son has no interest in helping. He only wrecks them he never fixes them. The biggest hold up is money to send the car to S&W for the CM cage and chassis work. That is why I am redoing and selling the brown 340 Duster and that has come to a halt also. The estimate was $12,000 for the chassis.
Yeah things are not looking good this year. I take so many pills just to get through the day its unbelievable.
If I sell the motor? , Everything goes with it. Watch for the sale thread at the end of the summer. Unless someone shows up here with cash. I also have a 500 inch MEGA block.
