New A body owner

Well, I got home from work an hour early today and the wife agreed to go with me so I could pick up the Dart. Completed the transaction with the owner and we were on our way back home shortly thereafter. 35 miles later, through wide open freeway and bumber-to-bumper traffic, we made it home. It was starting to get dark so I didn't get the greatest pictures, but here's a few more of some interesting spots that need attention.

There she is parked next to my daily. The GT is pretty dirty and has some old growth that needs to be washed off.

The owner says the engine was swapped with a 225 from a 78 truck. The trunk was loaded up with speakers and oversized battery cables/windshield decals lead you to believe he was a stereo enthusiast.

She's tough to start cold. The thermostatic choke is disconnected and a manual choke is routed through the firewall.

The picture doesn't show it well, but there's a decent valve cover leak on the passenger side.

Passenger rear window regulator issues!

Pleasant surprise, there's a whole car in the trunk!! I haven't dug through it yet, but I another grill, headlight bezels, tail lights, a lot of interior, a center console of some sort, among other things. I'll sort through it this weekend.

She's a little squirrely at highway speeds, but the PO has receipts for a lot of recent suspension work as well as new tires. Might need an alignment. Brake lights don't work and are wired up to a switch. There's sheet metal screwed down in the front floor pans, so what's under there can't be good. The headlight switch is dangling from the dash and has some wires spliced in.

I've got some work cut out for me, but I'm looking forward to getting the car back together and trying to maintain driver status as much as possible during the project.
