How all my co workers see my car

I work in an office with lawyers and legal support staff. (Won't go into too much detail) but the dress code is business formal even for myself. All of my co workers have new and expensive vehicles. Lots of BMW and Mercedes fill the parking lot.

At the end of the row, is my faded original 68 dart. 2 door H/t GT with a slant six and 833 OD that I swapped into the car because I don't do autos.

So a few weeks ago I got a duster running. It's a junk yard dog but I cleaned it out by removing the carpet and putting a coat of duct tape on the seats and painting the duct tape ( decent IMO), also took the headliner out so it doesn't come apart in the wind and make a mess. so the day I took it to work, a co worker needed a ride.

She looked at the car as if it were a disease, she refused a ride because she had on nice clothes (so did i) she made a big *** deal about it. She said it's not a safe car because I swapped a 4 speed in and didn't weld in a hump yet. I like seeing the rods move as I shift and what's wrong with seeing a little pavement go by. So I told her I wouldn't pick her up If i saw her on a lonely highway.

So she went on to talk crap about me and told everyone I am a hillbilly and classless and everything else.

So I put the above meme as the background on her computer screen and I am owning that I am a self made hillbilly and loving every minute of it. So now I am going to work early to park my hot rod in her usual parking spot.

Stupidity is it's own reward. You don't have to do a thing. All my friends had high dollar cars, Lexus, Mercedes, BMW. I still drive my 50+ year old cars and mow my lawn with a 40 year old lawn mower. I was never, and am still not, impressed by their cars. When you have the best, everything else is so so. When I was working, I'd have pictures of my cars, bicycles, farm and lake house as a slide show for my screensaver. Good to know what you are working for. I got to meet a lot of interesting people, none like your "friend". I'd have said, no problem, I guess you'll have to find someone else to give you a ride. You will still be enjoying the Duster long after their cars are gone.
