Well really the question of the thread is are the Speedmasters an affordable reasonable head for the "average Joe"...
Opinions will vary. I think you will have to be your own judge on your combo.
The price is fair. reasonable for trial. better than what you have.

what is your opinion on the CNC Speedmaster head as a budget performance head.
This may not be relevant as it’s a 470 b block stroker. The T ram with 2 660s was 2 tenths faster than a M1 and a 1050 dominator. Kim

Actually, I'm an old construction worker and it takes alot to get me mad. Picking at and laughing at each other is what gets some of us through a tough days work. I figured that of all the people on this site, you would be the one I could pick on for spelling!

Typical of what you see anymore. Big, blown out bowls and a runner too small to feed it. Oversized valves to fill up the huge bowl.
Last set I did was for a big block. It actually went almost 900 on the dyno which was over a hundred more than I guessed. I had the dyno sheets faxed to me and the numbers looked legit. And the time slips matched what the dyno said.
As far as casting go, they are fine. I've never seen a set of heads like that that don't need a valve job. With a bowl that big, they get a 50 degree seat.
The issue is always the same. You are still using mid 1969's architecture. Without offsetting the intake rocker (and maybe the exhaust...I think the last time I looked at my W2 junk I was thinking about an offset exhaust but why I thought that at the time I don't remember) and raising the port, you are stuck. The small CSA makes air speed go through the roof, so you do things you don't normally do to control it. Everybody and their mother thinks the faster the airspeed the better, but that is just not the case. You need to CONTROL the air going through the port (or, picture the head moving through the air...) and sometimes, more often than not, air speed is your enemy. The flow bench will tell you the port loves airspeed. Sometimes you have to ignore the flow bench. Especially on the exhaust.

The bullying remark was a joke in reference to some posts made by other members last week! I would personally never consider things said to me or even about me to be bullying. I just do not take myself that seriously! I will be the first to admit that I am a big goofball. In fact a friend and I at work were just talking about how far our immaturity had taken us in life! Take it all in good fun, that is how it was meant. I like getting a big disagree once in a while! By the way, I misspell a lot too do to keys on this stinking laptop not working half of the time. I guess that's what happens when you spill coffee on it. Sorry to have derailed the thread.

I have poured a lot of concrete in my time too, carried more concrete blocks as a hod carrier than I care to remember. Back when I was "Strong as Einstein and smart as a mule". Or something like that?!

Man I was young...
No I was what you call one of those working Foreman LOL. I had to lead the crew by example. I was always the hardest worker so I could call them pussies... Five of us would knock one of these out everyday. I'm much more enjoyed the big high wall jobs..

A pair of big block 440 source stealth heads and rockers in great condition came up for sale for $1, 100 locally because they're going to trick flow....

Stealth heads are 499.00 each brand new assembled. IQ52 has thread on them and said they are a pretty good head a budget after some checking and a little bowl work to get the flow up to the advertised #'s.
The four sets I’ve had on my flowbench max out at 267 cfm. So many better options out there now for big blocks.
Those are numbers he had before he cleaned them up. I believe he got 20cfm more after cleanup.
I agree there are better choices for a bit more money. But, the Stealth head is a viable option on a small budget.
