Moog LCA bushings

I know this has been covered before but, wanted to give a heads up. I had ordered LCA bushing from rockauto, two boxes came, one made in Mexico one made in USA. The made in USA part was mismanufactured and would allow the pivot pin to move nearly freely after being installed. We had to remove it, get another and reinstall. Took a ton of extra time.


TLDR Moog quality is poor on this part, luck of the draw


EDIT: forgot to mention, the parts store moog made in MX bushing also had an issue. the center sleeve wasn't centered in the bushing and was closer to one side then another. luckily we checked them before taking it

This is a problem that I have been hearing more and more of lately. I've got one old stock Moog on the shelf, but need to buy LCA bushings for two cars. I'm not real happy about the state of rubber parts for our cars. I know PST will stand behind their products, but I don't want Chinese suspension parts on my cars. I put a set of old stock poly upper bushings on my Barracuda recently.

crazy part here is that the made in USA part, was the shittiest one.

Buy bushings from Proforged, thru Rock Auto.
Good part, and they press in easily, not like the re designed Moog's.

Jim, that was my plan, but I'd still buy parts made in North America. I did use all Pro Forged on a '57 Dodge and had to buy a stronger impact to get the ball joints to seat. They seemed a bit too big, but not so much that they wouldn't fit.
