Lubriplate is good, IF, The engine is going to be installed shortly after it is applied. I built a motor once and I used Lubriplate like I always have in the past. Well the guy I built it for didn't install it right away and it sat for over a year in his house. After a period of time it turns to glue. Couldn't turn it over at all. Tore it down and found it had turned to a tacky glue like substance. I don't use it any more.
